Geboren im Süden Italiens, lebt Pina Simmons seit ihrer frühen Kindheit in der Schweiz. Mit 15 Jahren startete sie ihre Karriere als Jazz-Sängerin. Zusammen mit ihrem Bruder Toni Donadio, sang Pina S. bei den Tonic-Strings, einem der besten Schweizer Latin-Jazz Gitarren-Duos der heutigen Zeit. Kritiker rühmten Pina Simmons (Joséfine) feine, romantische Stimme und ihre Kunst, ihre Musikstücke dem Publikum ganz nahe zu bringen.

1996-1999 wagte Pina Simmons den Schritt in die Pop-Welt unter den Namen Joséfine, zusammen mit der Gruppe TCHA. Es folgten Alben wie "Don't Look Outside" "Josie" und "Do You", Europa-tourneen bsp. Montreux Jazz Festival Off, The Golden Stag Brasov-Romänien, International Song Festival Cairo-Egypt, Regina Della Canzone Rimini-Italien sowie Radio- und Fernsehauftritte.

Während einer Jazz Performance forderte Jazz-Bassist; Mr.Vinzenz Kummer Joséfine auf, gemeinsam mit Produzent Charles Simmons zum Gedenken an den legendären Duke Ellington eine neue CD aufzunehmen "Duke & I".........

Pina Simmons- Born in southern Italy and since her early childhood raised in Switzerland. She started her music career at the age of fifteen as a swing-jazz singer. Touring through Switzerland and France with her brother,Toni Donadio from the Tonic-Strings; One of the best swiss-jazz guitar duos today. Much talked about is Joséfine’s soft, romantic voice and that radience she brings along, whether in jazz or pop, assures succesful concerts where ever she performs.

1996-1999 Pina Simmons tasted the pop world as front singer under the name Joséfine, by the group <TCHA> following was her first single "Don't Look Outside/The Way You Smile and Joséfine's solo album "Do you" reached various radio-charts and European tournees, international festivals such as Montreux Jazz Festival Off Switzerland, The Golden Stag Brasov-Romania, International Song Festival Cairo-Egypt, Regina Della Canzone Rimini-Italy and television in France and Switzerland

Together with jazz bassplayer Mr.Vinzenz Kummer and producer Charles Simmons, Pina recorded her first jazz CD "Joséfine-Duke &I". A Romantic vocal-tour with big band instrumental arrangements on Duke Ellington's best tunes guaranteed!

2005-2006 together with Brasilian guitarist/singer; Carlinhos Franco, they are performing a series of very special latin-jazz concerts, which is definitly not to be missed! with an upcoming new CD.
